Market day

Our first market day. We drove to Collioure (about a 30 minute drive) on the coast, a gorgeous town with a number of old castles and church. Spent an hour or so doing the tourist thing, taking pictures (see below) and getting to know with the local duck population.
Oddly enough, at the market we bumped in to a retired couple from Vancouver Island, here for a few months. After explaining why we were here, they asked if they could borrow Sophie as an interpreter. We said they could HAVE Charlotte, but they declined - funny how that always happens.....

Then off to the market for bread, vegetables, cheese and mussels.....just cooking them now....!

On the drive back to Thuir, we drove through a village called Bages, with the most heavily-laden orange tree we've ever seen (and in January!!).
